Am I safe? Is my city safe? Well, I had almost always thought that my city was one of the safest cities to live in till I went through a harrowing experience. I run a PR firm. Many would think that I am independent, enterprising woman. Yes, even I think so. Yet for years I was unable to even talk about what happened to me 2 years ago. I was pregnant then, and out with my husband to celebrate his birthday. We were on our way back from a five star hotel at 11.45p.m. That’s when we were chased by a gang of seven drunken men in a car with a government number plate. They caught up with our car, dragged up my husband out, and would have done the same to me. But I just kept pleading with them that I was pregnant and begged them to let us go. They hurled abuses at us, saying that our car had hit a man sitting outside their restaurant near the road. Nothing of the sort had happened but fortunately, they let us go. The trauma was so severe that I had a miscarriage. Scared out of our minds, we did not even report it to the police. A few days ago I read in a newspaper about one incident where a couple was found dead near the beach and this incident came back to me in my mind. We were lucky in a way though only I can feel the loss. Due to my work, I often need to be out late, attending meetings and even late night parties that are part of my job.

But now I take precautions. I have bought a Pocket PRO (TM) DVR hidden camera for myself so that I can capture and record all the events which happen during the time while I am traveling. This is the tiniest camera which I have ever seen with as much as necessary to fit into a regular cigarette pack to finish up the surveillance procedures. This camera can be plugged up straightforwardly into the PV 500 recorder. It had the facility to record on the SD cards from 1 to 4GB giving a resolution of 720x480 images, with time and date evidently. This is available with all the additional devices like the battery, the re-charger, the remote control, play back cable and a carry container. This light weight modern Pocket hidden camera was indeed the most excellent equipment which can give an assurance of defense to all the people who travel till late nights. Now safety is a concern I address on a daily basis and I always carry my hidden camera along with me. I cannot trust anybody and I make sure that any woman working late hours in my office gets a hidden camera and carry it along with her always. Even then there are times when I am scared to be out alone at nights and on the other side I am even confident that there are devices which we can carry and use whenever we want to very easily.
